Caroline Barberio joined Forward Ventures in 2018 with 16 years of experience at San Diego venture capital firms. She was the CFO of Mission Ventures for 13 years, serving as primary investor contact and handling all aspects of the firm’s financial and administrative management. Ms. Barberio has also served in the senior financial management of several local operating companies in both for-profit and not-for-profit industries, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Stratagene, Applied Molecular Evolution and the 22nd District Agricultural Association. Ms. Barberio started her career and earned her CPA license with Deloitte. She is a summa cum laude graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting.
